Bradford climate change campaigners greeted at Parliament

Judith met with Bradford South residents that travelled down to London to join ‘The Time is Now’ protest calling for urgent action on climate change.

The event was designed by climate change campaigners to lobby MPs, with around 12,000 people from across the 650 constituencies in the UK attending.

Judith Cummins MP said: “It was wonderful to meet those from Bradford South who were amongst the thousands of climate change campaigners. They travelled a long way to join the campaign, and it was important for me to speak to them about one of the biggest challenges we face over the next century.”

In May, Judith supported the motion in Parliament to declare a climate change emergency.

Judith continued: “Climate change is an issue that affects all of us. As the campaign says, The Time is Now and urgent action is needed. I will continue to support action that will help to protect the planet for our children, and we should invest more into our green economy so we can be world leaders in this area to guarantee our prosperity into the future.”
