Petition: Justice for those Affected by the Contaminated Blood Scandal

Sir Brian Langstaff, the Chair of the Infected Blood Public Inquiry produced his final report on compensation in April 2023, calling for a compensation scheme to be set up and payments to start being made before the end of 2023.

Shockingly there was no mention in the Budget, either in the Chancellor’s speech or in the Red Book, of any money being allocated for compensation. This is despite the Government accepting the “moral case” for compensation and claiming to be working “at pace” on the issue.  With your help, I am looking to present a petition to Parliament calling for the Government to act now to implement the recommendations of the Second Interim Report of the Infected Blood Inquiry without delay.

The best way to support the petition is to download this petition, provide your details and signature, and return it to me, either by scanning it, or by posting it back to me.
