Petition: The Anti-Social Use of Fireworks

Updated: Jan 2

I am launching a petition to reduce the legal noise limit of fireworks from 120 decibels (as loud as a pneumatic drill you would find on a construction site) to 90 decibels (about as loud as a ringing telephone).

Whilst many people enjoy fireworks in a safe and responsible manner, the antisocial and illegal use of fireworks can be a year-round blight. Residents should not have to suffer the results of their misuse, and so I am urging the Government to reduce the legal noise limit of fireworks from 120 decibels to 90 decibels.
