'Vast majority' of pensioners in Bradford South eligible for Winter Fuel, says Judith

Judith has responded to the government's announcement that Winter Fuel Payments will be extended to anyone receiving a pension who has a yearly income of less than £35,000.

Commenting in the Telegraph & Argus, Judith said:

"Hundreds of residents have contacted me concerned about the loss of the winter fuel payment."

"I robustly represented their views in my discussions with the Government."

"So, I know that the announcement that anyone of state pension age with a yearly income of less than £35,000 will automatically receive a winter fuel payment this year will be welcomed."

"The Government's decision means that the vast majority of people in Bradford South will be eligible for the winter fuel allowance."
