Judith is encouraging people in Bradford to ‘shop local’ and celebrate the contribution that small businesses make by taking part in the 10th Small Business Saturday last weekend.
Small Business Saturday aims to bring a boost to local shops, garden centres and cafes right across the country. In recent years, it has had some success with consumer spending on Small Business Saturday being boosted to over £1 billion.
Judith Cummins MP said: “I’m backing our local businesses, because running a small business is never easy. The cost of living has both reduced consumer spending and hiked energy costs to pile even more pressure on business owners.”
“I thank them for the vital contribution they make to our local economy.
“There are lots of great businesses in Bradford South like Tong Garden Centre and the fantastic businesses and volunteers who organised Wibsey’s Christmas Market.
Small Business Saturday is a fantastic way of raising awareness and giving our local shops the long term boost they need.
